Volleyball Team Split on the Road

The Lady Gator volleyball team traveled to Brooks County High School yesterday for Non-Region play. The Lady Gators came out with one win and one loss. In the first match, the Lady Gators defeated the Lady Trojans of Brooks County High School. The Lady Trojans would win the first game by a score of 26-24. However, the Lady Gators stepped up their game, and won the last two games by the scores of 25-7 and 15-4. This would give the Lady Gators the win in this match. In the second match of the night, the Lady Gators would take on the Lady Jackets of Thomas County Central High. The Lady Gators would fall the Lady Jackets by the score of 25-18 and 25-23. "As a team, we played hard, but we made several crucial mistakes in some pivotal moments of the game," said Coach Alesia Gibson.  "We will take this win/loss and build on it in order to get better." The Lady Gators will travel over the Savannah to face the Lady Phoenix of New Hampstead High School and the Lady Pirates of Brunswick High School.
