Ware County jetted out to a 10- point first quarter advantage and cruised as nine players reached the scoring column. The Lady Gators built a 21-11 lead in the first eight minutes with Mataea Boyd scoring eight of her game-high 12 points. Ware County would allow just 11 points over the next two periods as the lead swelled to 23 points. The Lady Gators doubled up New Hampstead 12-6 during the second stanza to open up a 33-17 halftime cushion.
A 12-5 third quarter scoring advantage gave Ware County a commanding 45-22 lead. Each team scored seven points over the final period. Shouveir Spaulding joined Boyd in the double-figure column scoring 10 points. Kelsey Davis and Markeah Green followed with seven and six points respectively. Arviniece McDonald netted five points with Jesada Smith and Korianne Yawn bagging four points apiece. Justyce Eason and Waynisha Coleman netted three and two points respectively. The Lady Gators thought they had the night off thinking the JV Boys were to play, however, New Hampstead showed up with the Girls team instead. Coach Peck did a fabulous job of putting his team together as they routed the Lady Phoenix 59-9 to start things off.
