Lady Gators Split over the weekend

Despite Daejha White putting nine points on the board, Ware County lost to Glynn Academy High 38-33. Glynn Academy High grabbed the lead against the Lady Gators on a free throw from V Murray in the second period and held on.

In spite of scoring a game-high 14 points during the first quarter, Ware fell behind early, trailing 22-20 by the half.

White was the leader of the Ware offense with nine points, including four during the second period. She also contributed 14 rebounds, one steal and one block.

Also chipping in for Ware were Blake Crews (9 points, 4 rebounds, 1 steal),Lamari Harris (5 points, 2 rebounds), Bryanna Wilson (4 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals),Shondell Vickers (3 points, 4 rebounds, 1 block) and Lizzie Shubert (3 points).

Ware finished the game with 34 rebounds (eight offensive/26 defensive), two blocks and seven steals.

Daejha White scored 22 points to lead Ware County to a 45-40 victory over Pierce County High on Saturday. The Lady Gators locked in the win in the fourth quarter on a two-pointer from Blake Crews.

Ware connected from the field early, claiming a 20-13 lead at the half. With 17 points in the fourth quarter, Ware locked in their lead.

White was the leader of the Lady Gator offense with 22 points, including 12 during the fourth period. She also contributed 12 rebounds, one steal and one block.
