Ware Tennis Teams Fall To Brantley

Girls Tennis:

The Ware County Lady Gators tennis team dropped their match against Brantley County today 1-4. 

At first singles, Megan Tyre lost a tough match 1-6, 1-6. 

At two singles, Haley Cannon came out playing great tennis but faltered late 4-6, 0-6. 

At three singles, Mabry Rigdon battled the entire match and came up just short 1-6, 5-7. 

The first doubles team of Kiersten Moye and Jayme Russell continued their stellar play by winning 6-2, 0-6, 10-8. 

Despite having never played together, the second doubles team of Maggie Tyre and Morgan Porter played valiantly but came up short 2-6, 6-7 (3-7). 

Our next match is on Tuesday, in Blackshear, against the Pierce County Bears.

Boys Tennis:

Matthew Bagley was the only winner in a 1-4 defeat for the Ware Boys Tennis Team.  Matthew Bagley won at number one singles in straight sets.  Dawson Goddard lost (3,6)(3,6) and Bailey Tatum lost despite a valiant effort in the second set.  His score was (4,6)(5,7).  Both doubles teams of Gabion Hardy and Brock Anderson, as well as Ladue Raulerson and Maddox Hall lost (1,6)(1,6).  The Gators face the Bears of Pierce next Tuesday , Feb 14th.
