New Hampstead's Oronte Anderson exploded for a game-high 37 points, 25 in the second half, leading the Phoenix to the win in the rubber match of the season series. The two teams split during the regular season with each winning at home. New Hampstead posted a 73-38 victory in the first meeting back on January 13 with the Gators escaping 59-57 at home exactly two weeks later. The Phoenix doubled up Ware County in the opening eight minutes building a 20-10 advantage. New Hampstead outpoint the Gators 13-9 in the second period to take a 33-19 halftime lead. Bayoued by the 10-point quarter of Anderson, the Phoenix outscored Ware County 22-13 during the third stanza to build a commanding 55-32 advantage. New Hampstead was able to keep the distance during the final period with Anderson scoring 15 of the 19 points by the Phoenix. Jared Richardson led a trio of Ware County players in double figures finishing with 13 points, 10 coming in the second half. JeMar Lincoln followed with 12 points going 10-of-11 from the free throw line. A.J. Pinkney added 11 points with nine coming in the second half. Jalynn Strickland and R.J.
